Its good to be back.

Sorry this took so long to post
a huge storm just came by this area and the power was out for about a day. I actually had to read comics by flashlight. I felt like a little kid again.

Just got back 2 days ago from the loverly Orlando Florida! Actually, we stopped in Albuquerque
dont know if I spelled that right
then flew to phoenix, then flew to Sacramento and finally drove back to Davis. The trip there wasnt half as bad, and the townhouses we rented out were AMAZING. I shared one with four of my other teammates, my father, and one of my teammates fathers (the rest of the team split it up into two more townhouses).
The tournament itself actually went pretty damn well, if I do say so myself (its the Disney soccer Showcase for those of you just tuning in). The only little problem was that the whole trip was up its ass with drama. You could honestly write a soap opera about the whole thing. Theres just some girls who talk shit/hate each other on the team and it escalated pretty badly. The shit hit the fan in the middle of the tournament and the some girls/parents were pretty POed. Lots of threats. Its a LONG story.
ANYWAYS
We played the Nebraska State champs our first game and won 4-0. Second game we played the South Carolina State champs and won 1-0 (we all played really crappy though). Third game determined who would go to semi-finals. We played the Florida home team and actually beat the bastards 3-1.
We went on to semi-finals where we played a team from New York where stuff got even worse. First off, our stopper Whitney had a concussion from the previous game. She was prohibited from playing in the semi-finals which was a serious blow since she was one of our best defenders. Then, during the game I went to kick the ball out of the goal box and a girl on the other team managed to clobber my foot from the side. It hurt like a bitch but I thought it was just a bruise, so I kept playing. I couldnt kick and I could barely run, but I wanted to keep playing so I told my teammates not to say anything to my coach. He took me out anyways and I just broke down. I felt horrible, like I was showing that I was weak when I would do anything to keep playing. I felt like I should have been able to suck it up for my team but wasnt strong enough to do so. He sent me to the trainer and I told her I wanted to be wrapped up and sent back in. She said I probably cracked the bone in my ankle. Then I started breaking down all over again because I wouldnt be able to finish the game. I was extremely disappointed
I felt like shit.
So I sat on the bench and watched as my coach took my captains band and gave it to someone else. I watched as I was replaced by another teammate in my position. And I watched as we lost 1-0 to a team that we could have definitely beat to make it to the finals. That was really tough.
I know this all sounds tragic/dramatic/blahblahblah, but I absolutely loved the girls I was staying with and we had a crapload of fun in our free time. Im crazy about my teammates, EXcluding the ones who talk shit about each other. Through all of this we learned who are real friends are and who really has our backs. All the crap we went through together made us stronger. We know wholl fight for us on and off the field, and I gotta tell ya, its a great feeling knowing youve got friends that will do some crazy shit to protect you.
Soooo
as by request I have a crapload of pictures to show yall. We took about 480 pictures, but I wont put them all up, obviously.

These are just the summary of our trip as chronologically as I can make it. We definitely had a blast.

This is us on the plane in Sac at 6 in the morning. Nothing like some sugar to get ya hyped! Left to right: Whitney, Emily, Sarah, and me.

Sarah and I shared this room in the townhouse together. It was upstairs and probably the biggest room Id ever stayed in. The bathroom itself was bigger than my room at home. Tahi (the other girl on the bed) shared a room with her dad and Nikki and Courtney (the other two girls staying with us) shared the room beside us. My Dad had a room to himself downstairs. And yes, all of that crap on the floor is mine.

We went to see the ODP (Olympic Development Program) boys team at the Disney Wide World of Sports Complex. We all got flags that said Chelsea on it since their club was sponsoring the whole thing. This picture is sort of ironic since Chelsea and Courtney had a huge blowup later, but I still like it. Left to right: Sarah (keeper), Nikki (forward), courney (left defense), Me (sweeper), Chelsea (forward)

Not a lot of actual pictures of us at the games since we were usually the ones taking the pictures. This is me taking a free kick from behind.

My friends were totally spooning after the game. They deny it, but I have the evidence!! Mwahaha!!

The sky was absolutely gorgeous down there
the clouds were beautiful. They were like the clouds you see in paintings. In Davis we have little pussy clouds
all choppy and lame.

We get so bored in between games
my teammates and I either went to the movies or walked around the townhouses posing like idiots.

More in game action! Woohoo!! Let to right: Bryn, Me, Jessica, Tahi, Emily. This was on a corner kick so I always get in the box for those.

Foosball tournaments!!!! Hellz yeah!!!

Our team at the Disney Wide Worlds of Sports complex getting ready for the game against Florida.

We met a nice (and extremely hot) Canadian boys team who had just finished their tournament. One had an Italian accent
damn was he fine. This was one of the guys on the team, Adam. He was really nice. They were having a party but we had a curfew.
So sad.

Tahi wanted to watch Totally Spies for some reason. We kept trying to change the channel, but she kept changing it back and turned the volume up really loud. I thought it was hilarious.

After our last game. We got these fatty metals and a huge ass trophy. Coach gave it to me to take home. I can lift weights with that thing.

Right after our last game we bought a crapload of candy and pigged out since we have to eat really healthy before tournaments. And if you look reeeaaally closely, you can see the 52 comic Im reading with Daredevil on the side.
PS: Everyone check out
's gallery. his stuff is absolutely AMAZING and he's got about 10 faves for each piece. So disappointing.

Haha, the boys soccer team was really nice, except that they made fun of us since we didn't know where the capitol of Canada was. I know history, okay, not geography. they also made fun of us since we say 'hella' all the time... must be just a northen cali thing.

What is it with you girls and having a dirty room when in hotels and trips?
Airplane rides are the best with friends, specially sleeping next to a gal, and she landing in your shoulder or chest and using you like pillow!
Spooning is the best, specially with friends or gal friend!
Skies are the best here most of the times, in fact that picture looks great, here in Puerto Rico, some times sky turns a pinkish clear violet color sometimes, tropics are the best.
Cool, you read comics too, I didn't wanted to follow 52 because of money issues, I do read lots of DC comics books only, by now you must know most of them Superman related!
Sorry you didn't win first place at least you got a great time there.... and the drama... happens on most of trips, on my trip to NYC last summer, it happened, in fact there was a group meeting in a room to clear everybody's mind, but... like always it ended up like shit!
Alright now I'm getting tired of writing this long of a comment!
Later!
Oh, check my last deviation, it's a video promo I made for Smallville, a contest to see if I win a internship at CW, I omitted the part I graduated, but... oh well, I'll cross that bridge if I win later!
I was always led to believe that team building was a team effort. You would probably have won that tournament if all of you had found that unanimous team spirit. It's always a shame when a unit has flaws, no matter how tiny, it has the potential to warp team progress. I guess it doesn't help if you are facing opposition who are fully unified as a team. I sympathise with your plight.
Saying all that, this competition was a journey for you. It was a bonding experience, so for that reason you have gained a prize greater than any metal trinket. You have gained true fellowship amongst your team mates. Those few who chose to spoil things lost out on that special bond. Sometimes it takes a collapse in events to bring true folks together and identify the false links in the chain.
What strikes me about your description is how much you burst with passion for the game. Wanting to proceed with a potentially serious injury is testament to your dedication, alas it was also foolhardy as a player to the game as valuable as you needs to be in prime condition. No one ever won a game with a gammy leg. Your coach made a crucial decision to substitute you, and a wise one. You have the spirit of a captain and the heart of a winner.
My respect for you has grown exponentially after reading and viewing your expedition to florida.
There is plenty of time for triumph in the future, but this adventure was a time to better know your team kin or atleast the ones who matter.
You make a sugar daddy proud. However, as a sugar daddy, I must express shock and horror at the state of your room. It resembled a pig sty. I will let it go this once, but if I see your room in such a state again I will give you a proper telling off.
